After 6 years of IT experience in Software Development and support roles in various technologies, Mary Remya began her career in Data Science by completing the University of Washington Data Science Certificate program. Familiar with both Python and R, she is also knowledgeable in Apache Hadoop distributed file systems (HDFS), MapReduce frameworks, Pig, Hive, Sqoop and HBase.

Mary is passionate about finding new insights in data. She is experienced in working with large data sets, using advanced data analysis to answer complex questions with accuracy, and is familiar with Machine Learning, including supervised and unsupervised learning techniques, as well as how to build predictive models.
